A Very Brobeck Christmas
History
This EP consists of 3 original Christmas songs the band recorded in one session. It’s unknown exactly when this EP was recorded and released as the band never announced it but their website says 2003, likely towards December because…well come on.
In keeping with The Brobecks collaborative style each track was written by a different band member. Christmas Drag was written by Dallon Weekes, Wish You Were Here was written by Mike Gross and Sickly-Sweet Holidays was written by the bands keyboard player Bryan Szymanski (Sung with alternating versus from both Dallon and Mike).
Trivia
Cover art for this release seems to have existed at one time, with an image called ‘CDChristmas.jpg’ going unarchived on the bands original website. The EP was sold in sleeves at shows with at least 2 verified styles, our favorite is used in place of cover art.
On the (presumably) earlier sleeve for the EP we have the track Wish You Were Here is instead titled Merry Christmas with the rest following in parentheses, both the website and other sleeve lack this. On the website the track Sickly Sweet Holidays features a hyphen between Sickly and Sweet, but both sleeves track lists lack this.
The track list for this release is also wildly inconsistent among even official CDs, Christmas Drag is always track 1 but the other two swap places between the discs we have.
