Not Knowing
History
This recording was made by the band some time in late 2002 or early 2003 on a 4-Track tape recorder. It features both the vocals & writing of Scott Jones.
It’s possible this song goes back to the bands 1000 West days, though no previous recordings have been found.
This track was remastered by The Goldeneyes (Scott Jones, Matt Glass & Mike Gross) in 2021 with the rest of the 4-Track Tapes (minus Dallons tracks) and the original mix was not obtained until 2024.
Lyrics
I’m feeling fine about the day, it’s been sitting in front of me all the way
I’m prone to lead myself, the fun gets spoiled and dirty
I pack my bags and leave tonight, but inside I know that that’s not right
Full-fledged predicament, [?] night on K-Rock
Why are we born in the sun, when it seems we’re all but done
The light clearly points the way, but I feel like I’m starting to stray
My faiths failing fast and I’m over my head, and I can’t find my way back home
