History

This track was recorded live over 4th Of July weekend 2003, and features both the vocals and writing of Scott Jones. This track is exclusive to the original “Complete” version of the album as Scott left the band shortly after recording, taking his songs with him. The remaining Brobecks released a 7 track version of the album without his songs.

The track may be in reference to “Gifford Nielsen” an American football quarterback who played professionally for the Houston Oilers in the NFL.

This track was remastered by The Goldeneyes (Scott Jones, Matt Glass & Mike Gross) in 2021 with the rest of The 4th Of JuLive (minus Dallons tracks) and the original mix was not obtained until 2024.

Scotts vocal delivery usually includes a bit of classic rock drawl, it’s especially pronounced on this track making it a bit hard to make out parts of the lyrics. I did my best.
