Le Velo Pour Deux
(Goodnight, and Have a Pleasant Tomorrow)
History
This song was recorded for The Brobecks album Goodnight, and Have a Pleasant Tomorrow. It was sent out early through the bands mailing list on February 20th, 2006 (according to someone on the message boards, Do you have that email? Give me that email, I love emails)
On the bandcamp page for the Violent Things version of this track Dallon writes “Vampires in turn of the century France fall in love and ride bikes. Based on a true story.”
Lyrics
Vampires never have to complain of living a dull circumstance
So let’s all pretend that we are undead in turn of the century France
I want the love on your wrist, oh give me the heart on your neck
And it would be fine to spend my whole life with you, together
Parlez vous, or something like that
Le velo pour deux, or something like that
That’s what I’ll say to get you to ride with me
Oh it would be fine to spend my whole life with you
On a bicycle built for two
Oh it would be fine to spend my whole life with you
On a bicycle built for two
