“Some of you may know that the first band I was ever in was called The Brobecks. Long before Whisperhawk. I was one of the singers and songwriters with the band from 2003 – 2007. We recorded a lot of music and demos during that time. This album is a compilation of demos written by yours truly. I was young, and I wasn’t very good, but some of you seem to like it. Enjoy?”- Whisperhawk Bandcamp

This release was the first publicly available collection of older Brobecks tracks Mike had shared, able to purchased right from his bandcamp page. A few of these tracks had previously been shared on B-Sides & Demos (2004-2006) and Brobecks Demos ’05-’06 but both releases were not widely available.

The tracks John Barnes (Acoustic) and Hey You (Acoustic) are live performances from August 18th, 2003 and can be found with the rest of that performance in Live Acoustic Demos.

The tracks Ryan Botcher (Acoustic) and Downtown (Acoustic) are from a collection of acoustic demos recorded by Mike on January 11th, 2004 and can be found with the rest in Mikes Acoustics.

The tracks Sloppy Seconds (Live Demo) and Cowboy Song (Live Demo) are from performances in The Brobecks garage on Sept. 30th and April 6th of 2004 respectively, a more accurate name would be to call them ‘Live Updates’ of tracks previously released on Understanding The Brobecks (which is how the band referred to them on their website). Each can be found with the rest of their performances on Garage Performance #1 and Garage Performance #2.

The track File Code (Live On 105.7 FM) is from a performance the band did for the station on March 14th, 2004. It can be found with the rest of the performance on Live On 105.7.

The Sleeping Pills, Jacqui, City Lights, West Of California and Computer Age ‘Guitar & Drum’ demos on this release were all originally shared on Brobecks Demos ’05-’06. All can be found in GNAHAPT Era Misc.

The track Sleeping Pills (Live Demo) is from the bands March 2005 Demo Disc. It can be found with the rest of the disc on 2 New Songs (Demo Disc).

The track Sleeping Pills (Live On x96 FM) is from a performance the band did with the station on May 1st 2005, it can be found with the rest of the performance on Live On x96.

The track Jacqui (Studio Demo) is from what is believed to be an unmastered, or premix version of the Jacqui demo found on the June Audio Demo Disc, though it could just be from a lower quality file. It can be found in GNAHAPT Era Misc.

The tracks We Miss The Ocean (Acoustic Demo) and The Stranger (Studio Demo) were first shared on B-Sides & Demos 2004-2006, both can be found in GNAHAPT Era Misc.
