In March of 2024 to celebrate 20 years of Understanding The Brobecks the bands guitarist and one of its frontmen Mike Gross decided to make some updated mixes of his songs from the album and release them to bandcamp. I wish I knew enough about music to detail all the intricate changes to you, let’s just call it “More Modern”.

“In 2004 I released this, my first collection of songs with my band The Brobecks. These are the songs that I wrote and sang on this album (cut me some slack, I was a noob.) In honor of the 20th Anniversary, I personally re-mixed these songs, for fun, and for you die-hards to have something slightly new to hear. The original mixes exist on YouTube, I believe, if you long for the past. I sure don’t. Not since “The Accident.”” -Whisperhawk

Trivia

The song Lucinda off the original album was not included in this remaster despite it being Mikes, this could have something to do with Lucinda being removed from the album very quickly after release. The band probably just didn’t like that one.
